YFL Documents
A reminder that for those selected for the YFL that your documents are due in the latest by Wednesday. If you do not intend to join, then please let us know so we can offer your slot to someone else.
It is imperative that we get the paperwork in time so we can order uniforms, submit the documents and account for any errors which must be fixed. Failure to do this means a delay in processing and ultimately may lead to players missing games which is something which we really want to avoid.
7s League
Another excellent day at the 7s League with us going (almost) perfect with 7 wins and 1 draw in our 8 matches yesterday. Congratulations to the players and coaches for another fun afternoon of football!
I would also like to give a special mention to our parents (yes, the parents)! I have observed over the course of the tournament that while the parents of other teams seem to enjoy screaming and instructing their kids during the games, our parents seem to be fairly laid back, relaxed, and simply allow the kids to play the game.
As a club, we are huge advocates of allowing the kids to discover things for themselves and as you can see, they have flourished in this type of environment. It also allows them to take ownership of their own actions and thus become intelligent decision makers in the game.
Thank you for allowing your kids to play, free from sideline noise and torrents of instructions.
