Kaya FC Academy Updates: August 15–21

We would like to inform everyone that the 4:00–5:00 p.m. Kaya Tots and Kickers class at Valle Verde 3 resumes on Thursday, August 18.

Moreover, please don’t forget that the futsal sessions at North Forbes, 4:00–5:30 p.m., every Friday have already started.

The rest of the schedule this week remains unchanged.

We encourage everyone to attend the futsal class at North Forbes every Friday. Futsal is important for the development of young players because it offers the best way to improve one’s comfort level with the ball. It develops both ball control and technique. In addition, playing in enclosed areas can develop creativity since the sport demands quick reflexes, fast thinking, and pinpoint passing. Believe it or not, Brazilians attribute their success in football to futsal. If you have any questions about futsal, let us know.

Our U11s left on Friday for their Gothia Cup China trip, and they already won their first game on August 14 against Yuanmeng (China). They won, 6–0, with goals from Negrao (3), Camahort (2), and T. Celdran (1). Well done to everyone!

Their next match is on August 15 against Fushun (China). We are delighted that the U11s are participating in this youth tournament, representing both the club and country, and we wish them all the best. If you wish to follow the tournament, you can download the Gothia Cup China app here (iOS) and here (Android).

Welcome back to our international school students! It may be the second half of 2016, but football at the academy is all year round. Another school year means another football-filled year. We hope everyone is excited to be back for more football!

Don’t forget that if someone you recommend joins the academy, you get P500 off your next session card purchase. Make sure your friend puts the name of the player or parent who recommended him or her.
