Kaya FC Academy Updates: August 24–30

We have reopened Kindersoccer at Guadalupe Viejo every Monday, but we have had a very poor response to Rockwell classes. We will discontinue if we do not get an improvement in numbers. The rest of the schedule this week remains unchanged:
  • Monday: 3:30–5:00 p.m. at Guadalupe Viejo
  • Tuesday: 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Cuenca
  • Wednesday: 4:00–6:00 p.m. at BGC
  • Thursday: 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Cuenca
  • Friday: 4:00–5:30 p.m. at North Forbes
  • Saturday: 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at BGC
  • Sunday: 8:00–10:00 a.m. at Emperador Stadium

We apologize for having to cancel on Saturday, August 24, but with the weather warning and the high winds, it was necessary to cancel practice. While we always want to continue as scheduled, we will never run a session that may compromise the safety of the children.

Even though the rainy season has already started, please remember that we rarely cancel sessions. Training is ON unless we inform you via Twitter, Facebook, or e-mail. Check our updates and kindly refrain from texting or calling Coach Chris.

Thank you for participating in our Buwan ng Wika contest. We love all of your answers, but there is only one winner. The winner, who won by unanimous vote, is Marvin Louie Fabre. He said he loves Kaya because the club shows and reflects the true meaning of kapatiran or brotherhood. Rich or poor, Kaya will always accept you for who you are. Kaya gives everyone a sense of belonging, which is key to both collective and individual success.

Kaya defeated newly-promoted JP Voltes, 8–0, in the quarterfinal match on August 21 to earn a spot in the final four of the 2015 UFL Cup. Thank you for watching our match!

We’re off to the semifinals, and we’re facing Stallion on Tuesday, August 25, at Rizal Memorial Stadium. Kickoff at 5:15 p.m. Come down and show your support to the team once again. We hope to see you there!
