Kaya FC Academy Updates: Mar 16–22

Hi all, Please read the schedule changes carefully as we have a few venue changes and cancelations.

We are due to resume BGC sessions this week, with our schedule as follows:

  • Monday: 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Emperador (Kaya Elite only)
  • Tuesday: 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Cuenca (One World is cancelled this week)
  • Wednesday: 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Emperador
  • Thursday: 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Cuenca
  • Friday: 4:00–6:00 p.m. at BGC (Kaya Elite only)
  • Saturday: 8:00–10:00 a.m. at BGC
  • Sunday: 8:00–10:00 a.m. at Emperador

We had a decent turnout for elite training this week; however, a lot of players missed both sessions. While we know it is difficult for some players to make the weekday sessions, we expect players to attend these sessions if they want to be part of the elite team. If you do not train at the elite sessions, you are putting yourself at a distinct disadvantage when coaches come to select the teams’ lineup. Please be reminded that elite training is for elite selected players only. No kindersoccer will take place on these days and players not selected for elite training will be turned away.

Finally, we are still missing some players’ documents for the UFL Youth League. As such, we will begin to offer places to standby players. We will accept documents on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure we have enough players to fill the rosters.

Again, thanks to all of you who came to cheer us on versus Ceres on March 16. We lost, 2–1, to the only other undefeated team but, had we taken our chances, I feel we could’ve won the game. We will play Socceroo on Tuesday (March 17 at 8:15 p.m.) and Pachanga on Saturday (March 21 at 5:15 p.m.). We would love to see you at the games again!
