Kaya FC Academy Updates: Mar 9–Mar 15

Nearly 400 players attended the tryouts for the UFL Youth League with the standard incredibly high. The coaches now have the unenviable task of having to decide those who will make the team and, unfortunately, those who will miss out.

Please ensure those players who will miss out to continue to train with us and reassure them that we will endeavor to improve them as players. We have so many players at our academy and, realistically, not all of them can be picked.

Coach Chris will announce the lineups for the U9 through U13 teams on March 8 or 9. Offer letters have been sent out to the U15 squad while the U17 boys and girls will hear from the respective coaches/managers over the next few days.

Monday and Friday, 4:00–6:00 p.m. will be for Elite players only after this week, but for this Monday and Friday, we will open it to all players wishing to train. Moving forward, this will be the main session for the player we will have selected to play in the coming UFL Youth League.

On Saturday, March 14, Kaya will play Ceres in a game between the only two teams who have won every game this season—and it promises to be a cracker! On March 7, we managed to beat current champions, Global, 2–0, thanks to 2 goals from Coach Louis. Again, we saw many of our guys at Rizal Memorial Stadium cheering us on, and we would love to see more of you there. Kickoff on Saturday is at 8:15 p.m. at Rizal Memorial Stadium.
