On Sunday, we will host the ICanServe Foundation for breast cancer awareness with another fun event. Last year we played 111 players vs the first team with all the proceeds going to the charity, and it was a fantastic event.
This year Kaya FC and Kaya FC Academy will host the ICanServe Carnival for a Cause, with a host of activities and stalls where players (and parents) can win a variety of prizes and gifts donated by our sponsors. It is also a great chance for the kids to meet and interact with all the Kaya FC first-team players. We encourage all of you to stay on after our 8–10 a.m. practice to enjoy the event which is always a highlight in our football calendar. The event starts promptly at 10 a.m. at Emperador Stadium.
Many parents have indicated that the international schools will be back in session during the Pilipinas Cup (27 to 29 October, and during daytime) and will not be able to attend the competition. If you wish to be considered for the tournament, and are available please inform me a.s.a.p. If we cannot make up the numbers due to many of you being in school, then we will have to pull out.
We are playing in the Chelsea tournament the weekend before (25th and 26th October) so selected players will get the chance to play in that competition.
Thank you and I’ll see you on the field.
8–10 a.m.: We will still host regular Academy training at Emperador
10–12 noon: We will host the ICanServe Carnival for a Cause for breast cancer awareness
The program for the Carnival will allow players to take part in a variety of competition stations:
- Speed Test
- Dribbling Test
- Penalty competition
- Accuracy Test
- Juggling competition
- Obstacle course
- Hardest Shot (we have acquired a speed gun to test the velocity of each players shot!)
The winner of each competition will get a prize. We have received very generous donations from Baskin Robbins, Nike, Bootcamp, Shakey’s, and Gratitude Granola to name a few, so make sure you bring your A-game!
Please take the time to take part in this event. It’s a great cause and they are always incredibly fun as well as uplifting.
