Kaya FC Academy Updates: June 9–15

Kaya family,

Good morning to you all! I hope that you enjoyed your weekend and hopefully you are all beginning to get into the World Cup fever! The tournament starts this Saturday and I hope we get a month of wonderful football for us all to enjoy.

In keeping with the World Cup theme, this Saturday we would like all of our academy players to wear the colors/uniforms/t-shirts of their favorite countries. We have vast array of nationalities in our academy and it would be nice for everyone to display their allegiances this Saturday. If you are looking to pick up some jerseys, stop by Bootcamp and remember to avail your 15% discount as Kaya Academy players.

We will also have something else planned for this Saturday, which I will reveal later this week…

Schedule

As per normal: http://www.kayafcacademy.com/schedule/

We will resume Elite training on Monday at 4 p.m. (BGC) and Friday at 4 p.m. (McKinley Hill) for ALL Elite teams. I outlined in previous emails that, although some of you have completed the UFL season, if you want to be considered for our tournament teams later in the year, you should continue to train with your team. Football is a year-round sport, and unlike other countries, we are fortunate enough to play all year. Please use this opportunity to continue your footballing development.

For the Elite teams who made the play-offs, hopefully the confirmed schedule will be released early this week and as soon as I get it I will let you know.

Clear Dream Match

Thanks to everyone who came out to watch CDM this weekend. Aside from the best UFL players including Kaya players/coaches Ken Daniels, Anton Del Rosario, Nick O’Donnell, Manuel Mbata, Coach Drew, Coach OJ, and myself, you also got to see one of the best midfielders ever, Paul Scholes, and the EPL’s second highest ever goal scorer, Andy Cole. It is great that these superstars can come to the Philippines and I hope that you enjoyed the game!

I think that is all for now, I will update you all later this week as things develop; otherwise, have a great week and I’ll see you out on the field.

Una Kaya!
