Kaya FC Academy Updates: June 6–8

Hi all,

Just a couple of reminders:

  1. No Elite training tomorrow at Emperador Stadium due to the Clear Dream Match training.
  2. All Elite players are encouraged to continue to train—we have tournaments lined up for later this year and we will select players from those who continue to train with us post UFL Youth
  3. Tomorrow is the final session at the Camp for our summer program. Thanks to everyone who attended the daily program!
  4. Starting Friday July 4th, we will resume futsal on Friday’s at North Forbes village.
  5. There have been a few late reschedules for the UFL Youth for the following teams:

07 JUNE 2014 (SATURDAY) / EMPERADOR STADIUM
10:00: U-17 Team Socceroo FC vs Kaya FC
08 JUNE 2014 (SUNDAY) / UNIVERSITY OF MAKATI
10:00: U-19 Kaya FC vs Pachanga Diliman FC

Finally, I would like to personally say a huge congratulations to Rocky Plaza, who had an amazing week in his young career. Earlier in this week, the U17 midfielder was named in the U21 Philippine National Team squad, which is due to play in Brunei later this year in the 2014 Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy. He then went on to make his first team debut for Kaya FC on Tuesday vs Green Archers in the UFL on live television. A huge congratulations to him on all his recent success, and also to his coaches Mike, Diego, and Inaki who have helped nurture him for a number of years. Rocky is a great example of what our young academy players can achieve with hard work and perseverance. Well done!

That’s it for now and see you this weekend!
