Here is an update for this week and a review of last week’s action:
Summer Class at the Camp
Tomorrow is the start of our summer day program at The Camp, which starts 10-12 noon for kids ages 3-10 and ages 11-16 from 12-2 p.m. We still have slots available, so if you want to join, simply come to the camp and register on the day.
The program runs Monday to Frday every week and is a great way for our kids on break to get out of the house and do something active!
Mixed results for our teams this week, with our U15 and U9 black losing, but better news for our U17 who won, 4–2 (Rocky Plaza, Alex Hegenscheidt, Enzo Jalandoni and Dan O’Reilly) vs MSA and 4–0 (Nino Herrera, Dan O’Reilly, Alex Hegenshceidt, and Paolo Siggaoat) vs Pachanga, respectively. They have maintained their 100% record as did our U9 yellow, who won 4–2 vs Green Archers. Goals from Luis Sandejas, Mik Celdran (2), and Gael Guerrero sealed the win. The U11 yellow won 7–0 vs Forza with goals from Razak Said (2), Ben Zimmerman (2), Jon Zimmerman, Eric Almendral, and Karlos Rumueldez. U11 black lost a close 4–3 game in the last minute via a dubious late penalty. Ozod Musaev (2) and Diego Aspiras were on target for the U11. The U13 snatched a dramatic late equalizer in a 3–3 thriller in Nuvali with Miggy Restor netting a hat-trick that earned a point.
Regular Academy Practice
As we move into April, Futsal at Forbes on Fridays will be suspended now until July. The UFL have still claimed our Sunday slot but we will update you when it is reissued to us. The summer schedule for Elite team training will be sent tomorrow in a separate email.
Big week for the men’s team!
Our Kaya FC men’s team has won 3 games on the bounce in UFL action, putting us back in the mix for the league title. This Tuesday we play vs Loyola, 7:30 p.m. at Emperador and we would love for you to come out and support Coach Alfred, Christian, Drew, Dom, OJ, and me. If you cannot make it, please tune in to Aksyon and cheer us on at home on TV.
A lot of parents have been asking about getting uniforms for themselves so you can look the part on the sidelines too! If anyone wants to order uniforms please let me know and we will do so accordingly.
We sadly said goodbye last week to Ryogo Endo, who has returned to Japan with his family. Thank you so much Ryogo for all the hard work you put in to training and the games and we wish you the best of luck in Japan!
I think that is all for now. Have a great week and I’ll see you all out on the field.
