Kaya FC Academy Updates: Feb 10–Feb 16

Kaya family,

Just a few updates from me this week:

UFL Youth

We had a fantastic turnout this weekend for our first round of tryouts with over 200 kids trying out over both days. We will host another round this weekend—Saturday at BGC, 10 a.m. and Sunday at McKinley, 8 a.m.

After next Sunday, we will inform you via email if you made it on the team, if you are a training player, or if you will continue with our academy program.

As stated in the previous emails, please attend more than one session to showcase your skills—it’s hard to assess 20-30 players each age group, and players should be given the best chance to perform.

U19s WFL & men’s team

Our U19s made it! 10 wins out of 10 in their march to the WFL title. Congratulations to Noc Cruz for scoring and dedicating his goal to his Mom by celebrating with her!

Our men’s team won 3–1 vs Pasagard in the UFL this week with goals from OJ Porteria (2) and Kenshiro Daniels. Both players played in our U19 Kaya FC Elite team last year and it is great to see young Filipino players progressing with our first team. It was also nice to see a few of our academy members in the crowd and we would love to see you this week as we take on Army at Emperador on Thursday. Kick-off at 5:15 p.m.

Uniforms

We will be selling last years uniforms as a spare for Php 200 if anyone would like to purchase it. Also, anyone looking to order a second uniform for training purposes can do so. Please inquire with Honeylet.

I think that’s all for now, if you have any further questions let me know and I’ll see you all out on the field.

Una Kaya, Kids!

  1. Hi Coach Chris,

May I request you to include me in your mailing list. I am Justin Concepcion’s dad. He is wearing #26 unitform in Kaya training.

Sorry we were not able to attend last Sunday as there was a RIFA game. And also this coming Sat (Feb 15).

We will make sure Justin attends on Sunday Feb 16.

    Thanks, Edwin
