Kaya Weekly Schedule- June 10-16

Kaya Family,
Thank you for those of you who handed in your questionnaires this week- we received some really good feedback and some very constructive suggestions. Moving forward, I will meet with every age group/ team and discuss our plans to implement some of these suggestions moving forward and also to explain my vision for the upcoming months.
One recurring suggestion which came up from parents was the request of individual sessions and private group sessions. This is a service which we offer to all of our players so if you would like to work with our coaches 1-on-1 please reach out to me and we can schedule it for you.
This week was another great week for our Elite Teams:
Against our arch rivals Loyola, Coach Paulie’s team came out 8-1 victors with goals from Diego Aspiras (5), Brenn Mercado, Gael Guerrero and Felipe Iagdameo. They remain joint top leading into our final 3 games.
Coach Nate’s team were rewarded with a fine 5-3 victory over Green Archers. Goals from Shane Clemente (2), Chris Hagedorn, Ryogo Endo and Alvaro Lorenzo with the goals. It was a great job from the guys who have been unlucky in recent weeks and were rewarded today!
A 4-4 thriller kept Coach Jonah’s title aspirations alive against top side Pachanga. Despite some poor officiating in which Pael Laurena was injured, goals from Ottmar Figueroa (3) and Diego Panteleon secured the 3 points. We will now overtake them with a win in our game in hand to reclaim top spot.
An outstanding performance from an undermanned side produced a win that seals the regular season title for Coach Mike’s side. Goals from Dan O’ Reilly (2), Nino Herrera and Enzo Jalandoni completed the 4-2 scoreline v Dolphins. With no subs in the sweltering heat, the boys produced a big game in testing circumstances.
A rollercoaster ride for Coach Inaki’s side as the 19s lost 5-2 vs runaway leader Loyola. Goals from OJ Porteria, fresh from International duty with the Azkals, and Ken Daniels, who started for the men’s team on Thursday, were not enough as LMS finished strongly with 3 goals late in the game to take it. With the LMS team being doubling up as FEU’s varsity side, it was a good game vs a strong, experienced and cohesive LMS team.
As per usual with Wed going ahead even though its Independence Day:
Note, U11s have a 2pm game on Wed and Coach Nate will coordinate with you.
Lastly, I will have a tentative schedule for everyone this week. Please note that pre-registration for programs will be required and with limited spaces with certain programs, please sign up early to secure places. We will offer a number of programs to you all so please make the most of them.
Thanks and see you all out on the field.
Una Kaya Kids!
