This week’s Kaya Elite teams only had 3 games- our U15s having a rest week, the U13s fell foul to the weather and our U11 opponents forfeited due to lack of players, handing coach Nate’s team the 3 pts. Our 3 other teams won 2 and lost 1:

U9s

Coach Paulie’s team went down to a strong Green Archers side 5-1 at Nomads, handing the team their first defeat of the year. The lone goal was scored by Diego Fuentabella who is in a rich goalscoring form but unfortunately it wasn’t enough against GAU. The 9s are still in with a shout with winning the league and is only a minor set back heading into the last few games.

U17s

The front runners in the U17s continued their imperious form winning 6-0 vs Army. Javi Romero Salas (2), Dan O’Reilly (2) Enzo Jalandoni, Jonny McCartor & Paul Ferreira with the goals in a dominant performance from Coach Mike’s side. The team is playing some scintillating football right now and continue their 100% record thus far in the league.

U19s

Green Archers were soundly beaten by Coach Inaki’s men as 2 Kenshiro Daniel’s goals and one from Lui Clavino won the game 3-0 for our 19s. The side showed great character to bounce back from last weeks defeat to MSA and brought the team back to a .500 record. It is still all the play for going into the home stretch for the 19s.

This coming week I will look to send out some info regarding programs which we are looking to run during July/ August & September. We are looking to broaden our training options for our players with speed training, strength & conditioning programs and futsal programs among a few of the supplemental programs we are looking to run for our players. If there are any programs YOU would like to see run, please let me know and if there is demand for it, I will run it. Also a reminder that individual and small group sessions is something which we run so if you are interested in additional training please let us know.

Lastly, outlined last week, follow @kayafcacademy on twitter for updates on scores/ events/ training updates as they happen and I will also use it to post pictures of games from the weekend.

That’s it for now, thanks for reading and see you out on the field.

Una Kaya!
